Lexi As a Newborn!

There are no words to describe how it feels to be a mom! It is absolutely amazing! I never thought I would love someone so much and I feel like I have known Lexi forever!! It has been a very challenging and wonderful change in my life and I want to be able to remember all the many things about Lexi as a newborn!
Lexi came home from the hospital the same day she was born! This is her all ready to go in her car seat! That first night at home was not as easy as I thought it would be! Lexi cried all night and was really hungry! I did not have any milk yet and she refused to take a bottle! Christian came out at 2 in the morning and found me and Lexi crying in Lexi's room!

 Here are some pictures from her first bath while she was still in the hospital! She did not love being cold and wet! :) She cried through the whole thing and was very happy when they were done!

 Lexi had a high bilirubin so she needed to be under the phototherapy lights. She was amazing and hardly cried while she had to be in there! We had the lights for 2 days and then her levels went down and she did not need them anymore!

 Lexi loved to snuggle....and she still does! She is so sweet and has such awesome hair! We hear people commenting on her hair when they walk by! She cried....alot in the beginning and had us wondering what we could do to help!

 She finally learned to take a bottle! Here daddy is giving her the first bottle!! :) He is a pro already!

 This is a picture of Lexi taking her first nap in her crib! She stayed in our room for the first month but then she moved into her room and her own crib! She always does so great in there and loves to look at the elephants!

 This little girly has been a bit of a challenge...she is colicky!  There is not a whole lot we can do for her but just try to keep her happy and comfortable! Colic is no fun and in time she will grow out of it! :)

 Her hair is a big fluff ball, especially after bath time! I just love it and she loves to have her hair played with! Such a little princess already!

 This is her first time swimming and boy did she love it!! She just sucked on Grandma's hand the whole time and did not cry at all! I think we found her new favorite place! Anywhere we can get her to stop crying is a good place! :) Hoping that she grows out of the colic soon!!

 The blessing of being parents has been so amazing and we are so happy to have Lexi with us! She is challenging and we all have cried lots of tears trying to figure out how to handle the colic! She gives us smiles in her sleep and it makes it all worth it! Breastfeeding has been a challenge and I have been in tears more than once...but I am so happy that everything is getting easier!!
