California Vacation

So over the week of Sept 5th through the 12th Christian and I got to go on a vacation to California! It was so much fun! There are a lot of pictures so I will post them in themes! These are some pictures from the beach.



We bought body boards and tried to ride some fun waves in!! We had a good time even though the water was cold! Atleast it was sunny and warm on the beach!

Utah State Amateur - Final 4!!

Sorry its been such a long time since we have posted anything. Its been a crazy summer!! Just this last weekend Christian played in the Utah State Amateur golf tournament. He did incredibly well! 296 players qualified to play in the tournament. Only 32 made it past the first two days into the match play portion of the tournament. (In match play you go head to head against another player and try to beat him. If you shoot better on a hole you win that hole.) He creamed the first player he came up against 6 and 4. Thats really good. The next player was one of his SUU buddies. He beat him 1 Up at the 18th hole. This made him top 8. The next day he played an old dude in the morning that was a real jerk. He beat him 3 and 2 and we were all pretty happy about that! So that made him final 4. The guy he came up against in this round turned out to be the champion of the tournament. It was a long hard fought day. They were tied for most of the 18 holes. One hole they even both eagled to tie the hole. That never happens! It just goes to show how good these two really are. After 18 holes they were still tied. They went to a play off hole. Christian made par and the other guy made a birdie to end it. It was sad to see him lose after such a hard fought round but we are all so proud of him for getting so far!! He is top four in the state and Im sure he would have won the whole thing had he beat this guy!! Good job Christian! I am so proud!

One last thing...this barn was right off the golf course and I really thought it was straight out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It looked like some guy was gonna come ripping through the door with a chainsaw!!

Chelsi Dawn Petersen

Chelsi Petersen was a good family friend that passed away in a car accident on June 6, 2008. I had the opportunity to do gymnastics with her from the age of nine until age fifteen. She was an incredible athlete and she was the sweetest girl. I love her family so much. Her little brother Chaz feels like my own brother. I will miss her and I hope her family knows how much I love them! I love you Chelsi!

Summer Fun at the Lake

My parents, Becca and I all went to the lake on monday! It was so much fun to be wakeboarding again! The water was freezing but the air was warm so it was a great day! Christian was working and we all missed him out there.

I am so lucky to have such great parents that can go out and do fun things with their kids! They are the best!

Sunday Hike

This sunday Christian and I took Bruce out to Snow Canyon for a short little hike to a small white sand dune! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed being in the outdoors. Bruce had a blast!

Desert Hills Scramble

Christian and my dad got the opportunity to play in a scramble fundraiser for the new Desert Hills High School booster club. They play with two guys they didn't know. They played well and they won by five shots! Good job you guys!

Jaqueline's Birthday Present

Christian and I gave our little niece Jaqueline her birthday present a little bit late but she seemed to love the gift! We are giving golf stuff to every neice and nephew ha ha wonder why?! She is so cute and a couple weeks before we gave her this gift she was sitting with her dad and she picked up his golf magazine and was looking through it. When he asked her what she was doing she said "I am going to teach myself how to golf"! Now she can with her own set of golf clubs! We love you sweetie! Happy Birthday!
